A better (or more customizable) lightbox implementation for galleries.

There's no swiping support on touchscreen devices right now and having to tap those tiny buttons on a phone can be difficult and inaccurate, not to mention making you seem like a bad designer when the site is your portfolio. Also, the ability to customize how the description text is shown would be helpful. For example, I use Strikingly for my design portfolio, and not being able to adequately describe my work is frustrating.

We've just made another update to the gallery lightbox! For visitors browsing your site gallery on mobile, they'll be able to swipe through the images and videos instead of clicking on the next/pervious arrows.

Thanks for your suggestions and patience!

Thanks for the great feedback! If your site has been updated to Strikingly 4, you'll see that we've updated the look of the lightbox for the gallery section and optimized for mobile/touchscreen devices.

You can also add titles and descriptions to all of your images in the gallery section.

We hope you like the update!

    Cheers!

I know this is an old thread, but I'm a little disappointed too to find that galleries in mobile view don't swipe--you have to click on little next and previous arrows that are hard to see on a gray image. Plus, if you swipe up or down, the lightbox image swipes off the screen and the gallery kind of freaks out...

I just tried the new gallery lightbox on mobile: swiping through the images works great--thank you!
