OWN Blog home page (or template)
Right now the URL domain.com/blog is completely empty. This would be a great blog home page, complete with:
- side bar(s)
- categories/tags (so people can find more similar content
- search function (again, so people can find interesting content)
- social media icons (connecting to me and sharing the post)
- a better looking (!) Mailchimp subscription integration (above the fold!)
- place to put a small picture of the blogger with a short bio
- more obvious way to get to my landing page (the return to main site now blends in too much to get noticed)
Actually a template with all those features on every blog page would be great. Most of my blog readers come first to a specific blog page (not my landing page) and then leave again because its not easy to find more relevant content from the blogs - and there's no blog home page.
The blogging feature is really important to most of your users (who are individuals or small businesses or organizations). It's a prime channel for content marketing - and right now Simple Blog is letting us down (though it's easy-to-use and nicely designed).
