Information/Contact Forms on websites--the ability to customize a little more would be great!

I am a wedding and events florist. I recently added the "information form" to my site and have been amazed at how many responses I've been getting! Prior to this our clients would have to scroll to our contact and email directly and I think a lot of people didn't want to do that. Since adding the form I get any where from 1-3 new inquiries every day! Our site is fun and relaxed and I customized the form a bit to reflect that. So far my clients have repsonded in kind with goofy stories and feedback about our work. It's a beautiful thing. HOWEVER--I would love to be able to just add a few more custom fields to the form. For example, my clients start with the information form but we still have to follow up to get their detail information: bridal party numbers location date, etc. If we were able to add these fields and still have the little box for comments I think it would streamline our process for getting back to clients, scheduling appointments, etc. I'm also not super tech savvy which is why I love Strikingly so I may be missing the fact that you can customize them already. :) www.butterflypetals.com

    Hi Amanda!

We try to keep our forms as shorter as possible for a better user experience. However, we do have some plugins to create more detailed forms. Check Typeform in our Apps section. It's a really nice plugin for forms, customisable and with a good design. Might be useful for you!

    Let me know!

Yes, please add more fields to the form tool. I need for example a field to attach files (word or pdf files from my clients and people). I would like to not depend on others apps as Wufoo, etc. Thanks!

Most of the apps available are very limited if not unusable when using the free versions and monthly plans are double the costs of using strikingly...
@Aura, I do not understand the first part of your response. You are making for a worse user experience by giving us less options. And if you were referring to the user viewing our contact form, shouldn't it be up to us to determine what is a better user experience?

Contact forms in iFrames look horrible. Adding them in the HTLM takes a long time to load, so the user experience using your html app is not favorable to using your current form structure.

A customization I would particularly appreciate is the ability to make a field (e.g., email) optional so that if clients use email they can include it, but can still comment without it.

It would be good if this suggestion could be revisited, clearly, there are few people who don't think the current forms are adequate.

"We try to keep our forms as shorter as possible for a better user experience"

I understand that Strikingly like to keep things as simple as possible, in all honesty, it's one of the things I love about Strikingly. But simple doesn't always result in a "better user experience", which I think is evident in the continual interest in this feature request.

Having said that, some of your direct competitors have implemented more advanced forms and they're a walk in the park to set up and manage!

It's a bit of a cop-out to suggest a third party service that charges almost or even more than a monthly Strikingly subscription. Also, the embedded HTML options look ugly and very unprofessional.

I think maybe a happy medium would be to make a 'simple' form and an 'advanced' form, allowing for customisation such as defining if a field is required, can the field only accept certain characters, etc. Maybe Radio buttons and a drop-down menu.  This sort of advance feature is rather easy to setup and manage with other CMSs so I don't see why it would be more complicated for Strikingly to do.

Personally, it's a shame as I love the template and design of the website that I've created, however, due to some promotions that I'm looking to run.

Hi there! Thanks for continuously supporting this idea, and it does make perfect sense to have advanced form options. We'll let you know once we consider working on it! :)
