If I rename a section on my site the url changes to the new name. This is problematic because I often give a link to a section (to take a reader where they want to go on my site). Sometimes I put the link on a graphic to direct people to that exact section. If I change the name of the section it breaks the link and the graphic is no longer useful.
I would like the ability to choose the url for a section so that I can keep the url of the original section title even if I change the title.
example:
Let's say my section title is "Activities for Kids" so my url is:
/activities-for-kids
Then I change the section title to "Activities for Children" and my url changes to: /activities-for-children
I would like to be able to rename my section to "Activities for Children" but have the option to use the original url of
/activities-for-kids
that way my links posted on social media or graphics don't become unusable.
If we had the feature to customize section urls then I could make sure that my original /activities-for-kids stays valid - so that if I had posted it anywhere or used it on a graphic it would still work despite the section title change.
Another example might be if I had a section titled "Activities for Children Ages Ten and Older" That would be a huge, long url, so it would be great if I could create a url for the section that is shorter like:
/activites-ten-older
I'm fairly sure that custom urls are possible.
