It would be great if we can remove that big white space at the top of the navigation bar if the navigation bar image is removed also.
I'm not placing an image up at the top and it serves no purpose to have an empty space at the top on the home page. There's an empty space, then when users start scrolling down, the empty space moves up to show only the navigation bar contents. There's no practical reason to have the empty space on the first page. It just pushes all the content farther down the page.
It makes sense to have the space there if there's an image uploaded, but if there is not, might as well default to the shored up navigation bar – the same way it's shown when the user is scrolling down the site.
