Fixing Error Message: "Page not found"

Do you see the page not found message? Read more below and see how you can fix it!

  • Make sure you are pasting or clicking the full URL in the style of http://page.strikingly.com (not http://strikingly.com/page).

  • If you are looking at a custom domain -- for example, www.customdomain.com -- this means that the site is using masked forwarding, and the permalink is typed incorrectly.

(Example: http://joyce.strikingly.com -- joyce is the permalink)

  • If you clicked a search result on Google and found this error, it's most likely because the user has deleted their page, but Google delays a few days before removing all traces of information from its search.

  • The domain may have been configured to point to a Strikingly site but the domain was not added to the custom domain settings. Be sure to check it out and add it in, if necessary. Don't forget to hit "Publish" after doing so.
