Facebook Pixel Tracking on Your Site

What Is Facebook Pixel?

Facebook Pixel is an analytics tool that lets you track visitors' conversion points in your site for Facebook Ads. Learn more about Facebook Pixel here.

We make the installation incredibly simple! You only need to paste your Facebook Pixel ID into the settings field, and that's it. Normally, the code can be quite difficult to install, as it requires a lot of custom code for all the different events (pageview, signup, view cart, purchase, etc).

Instead, our integration makes it much easier. Here's how it works:


How to Install Facebook Pixel

1. Go to Facebook Pixel Manager.

2. Click Create a Pixel.

Enter a name for your pixel. (You can have only one pixel per ad account, so choose a name that represents your business. Check the box to accept the terms. Click Create Pixel.

3. Click Set Up Pixel. In the popup that opens, click Copy and Paste the Code.


4. Copy the code here: 


5. Paste it into a simple text editor, and copy ONLY the Facebook Pixel ID. In this example, the Facebook Pixel ID is 823067130259512.


6. Go to your Strikingly editor. Click into Settings -> Advanced -> Services. Paste the Facebook Pixel ID into the proper field.


7. Click Save, then publish your site.

That's it! In a few hours, you should see the results of the Pixel tracking in your Facebook Pixel Dashboard. Here's what it'll look like in your Facebook Dashboard. You can see the events coming in!



Which Events Are Tracked?

PageView - when a visitor views any page (including blog posts)

Lead - when a visitor submits a signup form or contact form


Simple Store events:

AddToCart - when a visitor adds a product to the cart

InitiateCheckout - when a visitor begins the checkout process

AddPaymentInfo - when a visitor selects a payment method

Purchase - when a visitor successfully completes a purchase (also tracks value and currency)



Can I Still Track My Own Events?

Yes, you can still write custom code to track your own custom events beyond these standard events! In the editor, go to Settings > Advanced > Custom Code > Footer Code and you can write your tracking code there. See Facebook's guide for more info.



How Do I Track Specific Products?

If you run Facebook ads for specific products, you'll need to enter your product catalog into Facebook manually. Here's a guide on how to do it.

You will need product IDs for each of your products. You can find your product IDs in your store manager in the editor:


After you've created your product catalog, just associate your Pixel with your product catalog like this:
